Persist
December 23, 2008 on 10:47 pm | In Business Motivations | 4 CommentsWhen you’re weary, it means you’ve been making a difference. Keep going and see it through. When each obstacle is more difficult than the one before, it means you’re making real progress. Persist, and make it all count for something great.
The exhaustion you feel is preparing you for the sweet taste of accomplishment that is surely to come. Every effort you make serves to give that accomplishment more value and meaning.
Sure, the way is difficult and by moving through each difficulty you’re creating something that can never be taken away. Keep going, and enjoy the priceless reward of knowing you did it.
As the path becomes steeper, it means you’re nearing the summit. Now is the time when it’s especially important to keep climbing.
Your efforts have already brought you a long, long way. Persist, and enjoy the full rewards of your labor.
Climb Higher
December 17, 2008 on 5:38 pm | In Business Motivations | 3 CommentsWhen it seems that all hope is lost, it is not lost at all. What’s really happening is that you are being compelled to move to a higher level.
Does it appear to you that there is no way forward? Raise your thinking and awareness to a higher perspective, and you’ll see plenty of possibilities.
Do you find your way blocked by insurmountable obstacles? Imagine rising above them and by so doing you can find a way around them.
When you find yourself stuck, you’ll need to go beyond thinking what you’ve always thought and doing what you’ve always done. It’s time to challenge your assumptions and open yourself to new growth.
Move beyond your comfortable, familiar perspective and take a fresh, objective look at life. From a new viewpoint, problems that once seemed daunting can shrink into insignificance, and positive possibilities will dramatically expand.
When your path seems hopelessly blocked, make the effort to climb to a higher vantage point. From there you’ll quickly see the way forward.
Make It Come True
December 12, 2008 on 7:57 pm | In Business Motivations | 4 CommentsWhen faced with making a choice between alternatives, it pays to put some time and effort into making the best choice. Then after the choice is made, it’s time to put your effort into making the most of that choice.
Certainly it is important to put thought and care into the decisions you make. Be sure to also put just as much energy into the living and fulfillment of those choices.
Making the best choice is a great start. Yet it is only a start.
The value of any choice comes from following through on it. The actions you take to support and carry out the choices you have made are what give those choices real meaning in your life.
The way your decision works out depends on what you do to make it work out. As important as the decision itself may have been, it is not nearly as important as what you do to bring it to life.
You’ve made the choice. Now is your opportunity to make it real.

Set Your Priorities
December 7, 2008 on 5:03 pm | In Business Motivations | 5 CommentsMany times today, life will ask you what’s important to you. And each time you will answer, not with words but with actions.
In each moment of this day, life will ask about your priorities. And with the choices you make, the big one and the small ones, your answer will be clear.
The real driving purpose behind your life is expressed not by flowery words or lofty intentions. Rather, that purpose is most accurately expressed by what you actually do with your life.
You can think and dream and speculate about what might and what might not hold real meaning for you. Yet the truth of who you are will be unmistakably shown by the choices of what you do.
Look around at the life you’ve created for yourself, and you’ll clearly see your true priorities. If you wish to adjust those priorities, you can reliably do so by adjusting the actions that support them.
You are setting your priorities by the way you choose to give your time, attention, and effort. Those priorities will greatly influence the way your life proceeds. So choose to set them as high as you can imagine.
